Lip scrubs can be a wonderful treat to your regimen on occasion and help moisturize. They're even easy to make! So here, I'm sharing my edible & kissable lip scrub recipe.

As you may know, adding essential oils to lip balms tends to create not only scenting, but also flavor. For the purpose of this DIY lip scrub I thought it'd be fun to use easy to find ingredients without essential oil that will smell great and taste good if you get some in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • .5 ounce of organic cane or brown sugar
  • .5 ounce of raw honey
  • .5 ounce of organic virgin coconut oil

DIY Lip Scrub

Please note, if you do not have organic ingredients, any form of coconut oil or sugar (white or brown) will work just fine. I choose to use organic when I have the opportunity as they provide more benefits to my skin.

Directions

  • Measure all ingredients.
  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Use or refrigerate in a small container.
While this scrub makes a fantastic lip scrub, if you like the more gentle exfoliation it provides, you can certainly use it for your other parts of your body. However, a loofah will help naturally exfoliate and won't cause microabrasions on the skin.
