From mood swings to abrupt and random feelings, women are not unaware of the effect hormones can have on us. They can help us feel our best… and our worst. Sometimes all in the same five minutes, especially the older we get! As someone who deals with their hormones the “natural” way, I can tell you my husband knows when I ignore them!

What am I really talking about here? Pre.Menstrual.Syndrome. Most women dealing with this every month. Depending on what is going on with us, PMS can range in being easy to cope with to hard to cope with based on symptoms. So in this short and sweet post, I am going to highlight my top 5 essential oils to use during hormonal fluctuations caused by PMS.

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens)

While this one is also known as the “poor man’s rose,” it is so much more than that! Geranium has a cooling and balancing way of keeping us uplifted and moving with grace throughout even our most challenging day. You can read a lot more on this article here.

Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)

This specific essential oil is one that use just before my womanly woes for a number of reasons. I have used it on my abdomen during cramps, in compresses, and a few other methods.

Rose (Rosa damascena)

I also love to blend this one with a little clary sage and copaiba during cramps!

This is one essential oil that is somewhat known as a versatile tool when it comes to aromatherapy. I literally heard a colleague say to “throw some lavender at it” because it really is that versatile. Even we are dealing with things like hormonal fluctuations, lavender can be useful.
