Mt. Shasta Pumice Stone
Volcanic pumice is a stone age tool for the 21st century, ideal for filing down foot calluses the time-honored way. Pumice forms when escaping gasses in airborne molten lava create solid foam. Thus forming one handy elemental tool. Stones wash down Mt. Shasta with the snowmelt. Thicker abrasive cell walls make these less buoyant than lighter kinds, but are far more durable. A cared for stone can last for years.
These natural pumice stones are as found in nature-each stone is unique and hand picked from a wild river on Mt. Shasta. These stones are available to just as you would find them in nature. They are approximately 2-3 inches long and weigh between 1.4-1.9 ounces.
For Callus removal: Soak and lather skin well to soften skin. Wet stone. Finding smoothest work face or point, scrub gently, increasing pressure as you attune to the process. Rinse often to slough away dead skin-pumice works with liquid. Finish with your favorite body butter.
Pumice Care: To unclog residue buildup, soak in hot soapy water. Scrub with wire brush, rinsing often. Handle with care; stones can fracture if dropped. Dry in sun to purify, re-energize and restore buoyancy.
Caution: Always use mindfully. This stone is exactly as found in nature so no warranty can be made. Do not use on inflamed skin, severe heal cracks; grit will irritate.
About the location these are obtained from: The kind man that I obtain these wonderful stones from lives just at the base of Mount Shasta in California. After the thaw and melting of the snow cap, he will spend hours pulling these from the streams and small pond like area near his home. He is an individual that solely owns and operates his own wholesale business which is quite small that I have chosen to support. I hope you will, too!
