About the Owner-Lola King
I am a busy mother of two, owner of a beautiful German Shepherd, wife, business owner, and constant student in the world of aromatherapy. I found my true calling years ago in helping others in small ways and continue to do so through my essential oil company Be Kind Botanicals.
My aromatherapy training includes a level III aromatherapy education from Aromahead School of Essential Oils (400+ hours of coursework that includes physiology and anatomy). I currently hold the title of Registered Aromatherapist (RA) from the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC). I have also completed Robert Tisserand's Advanced Certification program for Essential Oil Chemistry and Pharmacology, Cathy Skipper's Hydrosol Certification course, and am currently enrolled in the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy's Essential Oil Correspondence program in addition to my current self studies.
I am also an active member for the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists (NAHA) and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA).
I started my business in the Fall of 2013 and have continued to slowly grow it using an ethical, honest, and kind approach. I encourage others to use essential oils in a balanced and safe way to ensure that all of my clients are able to utilize them for a life time and support the sustainability of using all of the essential oils that are currently available to us. My approach in combining kind and positive empowerment to users of essential oils is a mindset that will never change. In fact, I offer my knowledge to those seeking to learn more about essential oils by offering educational classes within my local communities. Some of these classes include aromatherapy basics, safety, "how to's" and more.
On a personal note, I would like to say that my journey of learning about essential oils has been one of a spiritual nature as well. While I thoroughly enjoy the chemistry, the math, and the deep connection I have learned to feel with the plants and the essential oils, I have also been led to find Reiki. In pursuing to further my knowledge of Reiki, I completed all of the coursework to become a Shinpiden or Reiki Master. This has allowed me to understand more of myself, my purpose, and even lead me to help others in more meaningful ways that are associated to my business.
My vision or mission if you will for my company is simple. I want to spread kindness one drop at a time through my company so that my company is seen as a beacon of truth, integrity, honesty, and kindness in a world filled with too much negativity.
