Notes about the distiller and harvest:
Our Alligator Juniper was harvested by permit from the US Forestry Service District Rangers office on September 6th, 2018 in the Coconino Forest. Only previously felled Alligator Juniper heart and trunk wood was collected.
The collected wood was then cut into small pieces and contained in a tote stored in a temperature controlled room until distillation. The sawdust from the Alligator Juniper was also collected and stored to be used in our initial distillation for this batch.
This hydrosol is distilled on site at Be Kind Botanicals using a copper still on September 29th, 2018. The distillation was almost an eight hour distillation using very low temperatures to ensure we captured all of the hydrophillic components we could. It is also important to note that the distillation was a steam and hydro distillation.
Once the initial batch was bottled, a sample was sent to the Sage Script for testing to ensure that it was not compromised in any way during or after distillation regardless of how careful we are to maintain cGMP. The report will be posted below verifying that no bacteria, fungi, or mold were detected in the testing once we have results.
