Aroma: The aroma is very opening at first, but lends itself to be herbaceous and fresh and surprisingly a little sweet.

Personal notes: There has been a lot of debate in the recent years regarding the use of this essential oil around small children. While I would suggest exercising caution or working with a qualified aromatherapist when using this oil around small children it can be used in small amounts to support the respiratory system.

Safety Data:If oxidized, may cause irritation or sensitization. It can be used via diffusion around children and topically in low doses. Do not apply to or near the face of infants. Care must be taken when using with asthmatics as it could start an asthmatic attack in certain cases. Contraindicated internal use in inflammatory disease of the GI tract and bile ducts, and in severe liver disease.

Usage ideas: Create your own steam inhalation blend using a sterile stock bottle. When finished, add only 1 drop of your stock blend to very hot water (not boiling). Close your eyes, lean over the water, and cover head. Breathe deeply.

Emotional/Energetic Qualities: Uplifting, clears the mind, soothes exhaustion, encourages a sense of extra support.
