Aroma: If you are looking for a heavenly resinous Frankincense, this is your oil! It is warm, radiant, spicy, and balsamic with only small hints of the earth the tree is grown in. It has a magical and calming aroma that makes this oil a basic component of any collection.
Blends with: Basil, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Black Spruce, Cinnamon, Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Eucalyptus Blue Gum, Eucalyptus Ironbark, Douglas-Fir, Geranium, Ginger, Helichrysum, Alligator Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Red Mandarin, Sweet Orange, Patchouli, Petitgrain bigarade, Mandarin Petitgrain, Scotch Pine, Rose absolute, Rosemary ct cineole, Virginia Cedarwood, Vetiver, and Ylang Ylang.
Energetic Qualities: Supports reflection, encourages emotional healing, quiets the mind, supports focused attention and tranquility.
Recommended applications: Diffuse, topical application using safe dilution ratios, steam inhalation, inhaler.
Aromatherapist notes: With the tree the resin is harvested from being endangered, it's incredibly important to ensure that the source of the oil/resin is being harvested in a sustainable way. It's even more important for us as users to ensure our use is sustainable as well. With that being said, I reserve my personal use of this precious oil to respiratory support for my kiddos. Above and beyond that, it is used very sparingly.
Other important notes: After spending a long while talking to and learning about my distiller for this oil, I can honestly say that they have their heart in the right place!
The resin is imported from Somalia for fair trade by the owner of a US company and distilled here in the US in a Certified Organic facility. The owner is originally from Somalia and works side by side with his family and friends from the village where he grew up to ensure that they are being paid fairly. He does this to help create economical growth and educational standards for villagers which otherwise would not be paid fairly or educated. These facts make this particular Frankincense carterii that much more valuable to me.

Safety Data:Frankincense is generally non-toxic and non-irritating if used properly. Can be skin irritating if oxidized.

We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).
