Aroma: I have to admit, I am not a fan of lime, however this particular essential oil really sings to me! It reminds me of margaritas with its fresh, tart citrusy aroma. It has just a hint of sweetness behind the fruit forward notes.
Personal notes: Previously, I chose to offer a steam distilled lime for many reasons, one of them being the concern of phototoxicity. However, I have found the cold pressed essential oil to be more therapeutic, particularly in its uplifting actions and wonderful in supporting the immune system.
Safety Data: Store in a cold dark place, preferably refrigerated due to high limonene content. May cause skin irritation, especially if the oil is older and oxidized.
Usage ideas: Create your own uplifting and inspiring blend for diffusing.
- 2 drops of Lime
- 2 drops of Grapefruit
- 2 drops of Orange
Emotional/Energetic Qualities: Refreshes and uplifts, eases anxiety and fear, brings sunshine and light to fight feelings of depression.
Recommended applications: Diffuse, topical application using safe dilution ratios, steam inhalation.
- This pure essential oil is cold press and considered phototoxic, care should be exercised in its use.
- Do not place on broken skin.
