Essential oils: Buddha Wood (Eremophila mitchellii), All Spice (Pimenta dioica), Alligator Juniper (Juniperus deppeana),Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis), Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans)
Buddha Wood (Eremophila mitchellii): This essential oil is distilled in Australia and is wonderful for grounding and calming. In blending, it adds a woody smokiness with sweet and soft leathery undertones that speaks to those preparing for Samhain festivities.
Alligator Juniper (Juniperus deppeana): This essential oil is a great essential oil for grounding and creating a protective space. There is also something warm and comforting about this oil that calls to me when my emotions become raw.
Orange (Citrus sinensis): When I am feeling down, this essential oil is always there to help pick me up. It is an energetically happy one that exudes protection, gratitude, strength, and self love. For an essential oil that seems so innocent, it is one that I could never be without. Today, it helps round my blend out to create a space that allows for me to work through things that I have struggled with as of late.
All Spice (Pimenta dioica (L.) Merr.) or (P. officinalis Lindl.): This essential oil has an uncanny aroma similar to clove and cinnamon essential oils. It is warming, spicy, and perfect for the Samhain festivities. Like other warming essential oils, it should be diluted if used topically.
Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt.): This essential oil has a wonderful spicy and warm aroma that is perfect for the festivities of Samhain. It has a wonderful ability to stimulate the senses and blends quite well with the Buddha Wood essential oil. *Please note that in some cases, there have been reports of high doses of this essential oil causing disorientation. It also can be irritating to the skin if not diluted properly. For these reasons, I have used a very small amount of Nutmeg in the overall blend.*
Blend Design:This festive blend is one that can be used during Samhain and other related festivities.
Aroma:This is a warm and comforting blend with smoky, woodsy and spicy notes. It is slightly sweet from the top notes of the citrus and tends to pull the nose deeper into the overall blend. This blend is complex and with its warming and spicy notes, can serve as the occasional festive blend in addition to being used during Samhain or Day of the Dead.
Safety Data: Can be used via gentle diffusion and used topically diluted properly.
Emotional/Energetic Qualities: Calming, soothing but sweetly uplifting, gentle grounding to be more present, protective, supportive during transitions.
- Do not place on broken skin.
